Dr Hema Arvind

Dr Hema Arvind is a glaucoma and cataract surgeon. She has been practicing ophthalmology since 2000, first in India, and then in Australia after she was accredited by the RANZCO in 2008.

She is an Associate Professor with the University of Sydney, and also holds an academic appointment at the Macquarie University. She has a PhD in glaucoma, has been involved in several large research projects in glaucoma and has published several papers in leading scientific journals.

She is a Visiting Medical Officer at Concord Hospital where she is involved in teaching and training the next generation of ophthalmologists in clinical and surgical skills.

She operates at Concord hospital, Liverpool Eye Surgery and the Macquarie University Hospital.
